Indications:

Singulair is prescribed to prevent asthma attacks in adults and children. It is also used to treat particular symptoms of the allergic reactions, such as runny nose and sneezing.

How to take:

Use this medication as prescribed: it may take up to several weeks before your symptoms improve. Singulair is usually prescribed to be taken once daily in the evening with a full glass of water. Don’t crush or chew the tablet, swallow it whole. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Precautions:

Singulair will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun fast enough. Use inhalation medicine to treat an asthma attack. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any components it contains including montelukast. If you have phenylketonuria you should avoid using the chewable tablet form of Singulair. Talk to your doctor before using it.
